About Our Institution

Established in 1952, Kolkata Medical College Hematology & Pediatric Medicine has grown to become one of Eastern India's most trusted healthcare institutions specializing in blood disorders and pediatric care. Our 500-bed facility on College Street, Kolkata, integrates advanced medical technology with compassionate patient care.

Our hematology department is recognized as a Center of Excellence for treating complex blood disorders including leukemia, lymphoma, thalassemia, hemophilia, and other coagulation disorders. The pediatric medicine wing provides comprehensive care for children from birth through adolescence, with specialized units for neonatal intensive care, pediatric oncology, cardiology, and neurology.

We are affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and serve as a teaching hospital for postgraduate medical education. Our research division actively participates in clinical trials and collaborates with international institutions to advance treatment protocols.
